Mad Pursuit

You are the getaway car

Mad Pursuit is a top-down police chase from Solo Forge. You drive a car through a city while the police try to box you in. The car moves forward on its own; your job is steering, reversing out of trouble, and lasting as long as you can before you are arrested.

Another browser game with a similar name, Mad Pursuit: Police Chase Game, puts you in the police car instead. That is a different game from a different developer. This page is about the Solo Forge one, where you are the one being chased.

Controls

Steer with A / D or the left and right arrow keys. Hold S or the down arrow to reverse. There is no accelerator to hold: the first run opens with a short tutorial that asks you to press a turn key to start moving and then to hold reverse once, and after that you are on your own.

What one run looks like

You pick one of two city maps, one in daylight and one at night in the rain. A counter at the top left tracks your score and time, next to your best of each, and a wanted star appears once the police are on you. When they stop you, the screen turns grey and reads ARRESTED. The game then offers to continue the run in exchange for watching an ad; close it and you go to the results.

Our first run lasted about 19 seconds. It scored 31, which paid 16 cash, and the 9 objects we destroyed on the way paid 9 more. The results screen also shows a league bonus, a percentage added on top once you reach a league, and offers to double the payout for another ad.

Garage, tuning and leagues

You start with a free compact car. The next two cars in the garage cost 4,500 and 7,500 cash. In Tuning every car has four stats you can upgrade, Max Speed, Handling, Health and Nitro, plus a paint colour. On the starter car each first upgrade cost 100.

Your score from each run also counts as trophies. The league screen pays a cash reward at 50, 150 and 620 trophies on the way to the first leagues, and each league raises the percentage bonus on every later run.

Daily rewards and contracts

The game pays a login reward every day for seven days: 1,500, 2,000, 2,500, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000 and then 10,000 cash on day 7. Daily contracts reset every 24 hours. Ours were to destroy 75 police cars, collect 150 money and destroy 45 traffic cars, worth 345, 215 and 180 cash.

Tips

Collect the daily reward before anything else. On the first days it is worth far more than a run: 1,500 cash on day 1 against our 25 from a whole chase.

Put the first upgrades into Health and Handling. The starter car has only 20 Health and 5 Handling, and early runs end from being pinned rather than from being too slow.

Reverse is your escape button. When a police car blocks the road ahead, holding S to back out and turn is usually faster than trying to push through.

Play for the contracts. They pay for destroying police and traffic cars, so a messy, crash-heavy run that ends early can still be worth it.

Frequently asked questions

How do you control the car in Mad Pursuit?
The car drives forward by itself. Steer with A and D or the left and right arrow keys, and hold S or the down arrow to reverse.
How do I get new cars?
Earn cash from runs, the daily login reward and daily contracts, then buy cars in the garage. The two cars after the free starter car cost 4,500 and 7,500 cash.
What should I upgrade first?
Each car has four upgrades: Max Speed, Handling, Health and Nitro. We put the first cash into Health and Handling, because early runs end from being boxed in more often than from being too slow.
What are leagues for?
Your score from every run also counts as trophies. Reaching trophy milestones pays cash, and each league adds a percentage bonus to the cash you earn from later runs.
Who made Mad Pursuit?
Solo Forge. It is not the same game as Mad Pursuit: Police Chase Game, where you drive the police car. You play the Solo Forge game here in the browser through our licensed game feed, with nothing to download.
